Cassper Announces He Will Host The 2026 SA Music Awards (SAMAs). Cassper Nyovest has officially announced that he will host the 32nd South African Music Awards (SAMAs), marking a new chapter in his relationship with the prestigious awards ceremony.
The country’s biggest celebration of musical excellence will take place on 15 August 2026 at the Sun City Superbowl in North West Province, where South Africa’s finest artists will gather to celebrate another year of outstanding achievements in music.
“It’s official! Your boy Cassper Nyovest, aka the new age Doc Shebeleza, is this year’s host for the South African Music Awards!” he said.
Clearly excited about the opportunity, the rapper encouraged fans to spread the word and secure their tickets through TicketPro, adding that this was only the first of several announcements he plans to make.
“I’m very, very excited to be doing this. There’s a lot of things I’m going to be announcing, but for now, let’s leave it at this.”
Cassper also acknowledged that his history with the SAMAs has not always been smooth, hinting at past tensions between himself and the awards organisation.
“You know me and the SAMAs have had a lot of issues, but they called me, we sat down…”
