Mumbai. Mamta Kulkarni, a famous Hindi actress and model from the 90s, is back in the news. She was recently seen as a guest star on the show ‘Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment’ Season 3.
With this, she has re-entered television after almost 25 years.
She will be seen on the show ‘Laughter Chefs’. She has also made a glimpse of it public on social media. In the video she shared, Mamta is seen applying tika on Krishna Abhishek’s forehead.
In the process, the song ‘Maang Meri Bharo’ is heard playing in the background and the entire atmosphere seems to be filled with laughter. After this video of Mamata went public, various reactions have been seen on social media. Many have praised her smile while some have even started questioning her.
One user commented, “He said he would have no connection with Bollywood or television, so what is this? What was the point of becoming a Sadhvi?”
Mamata shared a video on social media Instagram on Wednesday where she is seen greeting fans. She also connects people with her family.
In the video, the actress is seen sitting in her home, where a crow is eating on her balcony. Pointing to it, she says, “Right now we are all having breakfast together, this is my world.”
In the video, Mamta is seen wearing a black dress with her hair open.
She has also been in the news for various controversies recently. During the Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj in January 2025, she was declared the Mahamandaleshwar of the Kinnar Akhara. However, after some time, a controversy arose after she made comments about Shankaracharya Avimukteswarananda, and the Kinnar Akhara removed her from the post.
Kulkarni had been away from the film industry for more than two decades and had turned to a spiritual life. Mamta Kulkarni had gone abroad after her name was embroiled in a controversy related to drug trafficking.
Her name was made public in a drug trafficking case involving Vicky Goswami in 2016. She then left India. But Mamata has been claiming that she is innocent and that she was framed.
