According to the department, except for government and diplomatic passports, Iranian citizens will only be allowed to enter Nepal with a visa from a Nepali embassy abroad.
The list of countries that Nepal has banned on-arrival visas has now reached 13. Nepal already does not issue on-arrival visas to citizens of Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Swaziland, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan and Syria. In addition, citizens with refugee status can only enter Nepal with a visa.
