It’s a big day of bowls today, with the group matches wrapping up and the semi-finals kicking off.
We’ve got Corey Wedlock and Aaron Teys up against New Zealand in the men’s pairs at 6.55pm AEST.
Australia has to win by a lot and hope Northern Ireland lose against Fiji (starting at 8.20pm AEST).
Also at 8.20pm AEST, defending gold medalist Ellen Fife will play Cook Island’s Emily Jim.
Fife must win and, either make up a shot difference over England’s Katherine Rednall, or hope the English woman falters in her final group match.
Then we have Damien Delgado and James Reynolds — currently undefeated — taking on Scotland in the para men’s pairs B6-B8 at 9.45pm AEST. The Aussies are already guaranteed to make the semis later tonight.
At midnight AEST, Louise Hoskins and Serena Bonnell will also face Scotland in the para women’s pairs B6-B8. They’re guaranteed to make the semifinals, but this is an important match in the jostle for positions on the table. Australia needs a win to avoid a semi-final against the currently undefeated New Zealanders.
Then the semi finals kick off from 4.15am AEST.
