Adelaide with a two-goal lead at the first change, and it’s a lead they’ll feel should be a little larger.

The Crows have been all over the Hawks so far in this one, and the Hawks will be thrilled to still be in this.

Hawthorn’s players have struggled to maintain possession of the footy for any extended period so far.

Adelaide leads 106-80 in disposals, 16-9 in inside 50s and 10-7 in clearances, including a 6-1 edge at the centre bounce.

The Hawks were lucky a pair of would-be goals from Darcy Fogarty and Jordan Dawson didn’t quite reach the distance, otherwise this thing could’ve been very ugly.

Adelaide captain Jordan Dawson is the leading ball-winner on the ground with 10 touches, while Hawthorn’s high man is Josh Battle, who has eight touches.

Dawson has also added four inside 50s and two clearances to go along with his wonderful goal from outside 50.

Hawthorn’s forward line, which is already undermanned in Jack Gunston’s absence, hasn’t quite fired so far.

Nick Watson with just one touch for the quarter, while Jai Newcombe managed just two disposals.
