The 12-track project sees the Cape Town lyricist join forces with acclaimed Harlem producer CartuneBeatz, whose production résumé includes collaborations with Lloyd Banks, Freddie Gibbs and Westside Gunn. Together, they craft a project that seamlessly blends East Coast-inspired production with the unmistakable identity of Cape Town’s southern suburbs.
For more than 15 years, Riyadh Roberts, better known as YoungstaCPT, has remained unwavering in his commitment to telling stories rooted in Wynberg and the wider Cape Flats. While many artists have broadened their sound in pursuit of international recognition, Youngsta has continued to embrace his hometown, transforming its language, culture and everyday experiences into the heartbeat of his music.
