32’ Martin goes in

A Sharks error puts the Warriors on the attack.

Two tackles later Martin throws a dummy and sliced through from close range to go over! Nice stuff from the playmaker.

Pompey converts and it’s 8-6 Sharks.

29’ Ramien goes in

Watene-Zelezniak throws an ill-advised offload on a kick return, the Warriors lose it, Puru dives on the ball and next play it’s easy work to spread it out to Ramien who scores!

Thats the story of this game so far, Warriors errors killing them.

Trindall from touch….you bet! Sharks lead 8-0.

24’ Teams trade drops

A forward pass from Egan and a scrum penalty gives the Sharks possession and field position. Referee Sutton is not taking any rubbish tonight, that’s for sure.

But one tackle later Colquhon puts it down. Lots of errors in Auckland.

18’ Sharks open the scoring

The Puru brothers combine through the middle and then Trindall forces another drop out with a nice bomb.

But the Warriors don’t get it away in time! What a bloody shambles that is.

Sharks take the two and open the scoring. They’re up 2-0.

12’ Sharks hold the line

A forward pass from Puru inside his own 30 puts the Warriors on the attack.

Mulitalo knocks down a pass to give them a fresh set.

The Watriors try for a tricky blindside play but Pompey’s tip on goes to ground and the Sharks dive on it.

5’ Warriors deny Sharks

A Pompey error puts the Sharks on the attack and Trindall forces a drop out with a nice grubber.

But Puru goes for an ill-advised grubber on the third tackle of the ensuing set and the Warriors clean it up.

Tips

This should be the match of the round, even with the players missing due to Origin.

I like the Warriors cause they’re at home but Fisher-Harris out gives me some pause.

Let’s go NZ in a tight one with Alofiana Khan-Perieria to score the first try.

Final teams: Warriors vs Sharks

One change for the Warriors from the team named in Tuesday with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad sneaking in as 19th man.

Couple of changes for the Sharks – Mawene Hiroti is out with Sione Katoa coming in on the wing and they’ve made their customary swap between Jayden Berrell and Hohepa Puru with the latter to start at hooker.
