Plenty of Roosters fans were gathering in their heartland at Bondi Beach this morning, gearing up to see the men’s and women’s sides in their respective deciders.
ABC Sport’s Pokuah Frimpong caught up with some of the tricolours’ faithful, including a supporter who’s come from Brisbane, and is desperately searching for a ticket.
“I’ve been trying since Monday, unfortunately missed out,” she said.

“But I haven’t lost faith, got a couple hours to go, if not, we’ll see what happens.
“I travelled down from Brisbane because my dad passed away 15 years ago, so I’m here to honour his legacy.
“He’s a diehard Roosters fan, so that’s why I was trying to get tickets
“I’m going around with his urn, taking pictures of him everywhere he is around all the Sydney Roosters stuff, so means a lot to me to be here.”
Pokuah also spoke to John who’s come from England for the big day.

“Supported the Chooks when I was nine years old, the Eastern Suburbs kit was the same kit I wore as a junior,” he said.
“And I’ve been a Chook fan ever since.
“I pay every year for a membership for a club I very rarely get to watch live, but it’s what you do supporting your club.”
When he does see them live, you won’t miss him – an inflatable Rooster is his usual get-up.
