About Chocolate Sauce

Chocolate Sauce is made using powdered sugar, water and cocoa powder. These 3 simple ingredients come together to make a smooth and delicious sauce. The cocoa powder gives rich chocolate flavour and deep brown colour. It is a simple recipe you can try at home easily.

This sauce has thin and pourable texture compared to thick chocolate spreads. It comes out smooth when mixed properly and has no lumps. The taste is rich and chocolatey but not too sweet and it stays smooth even after cooling and can be used warm or at room temperature.

You can make few variations to this recipe based on your liking, you can also add vanilla or a pinch of salt for a slight change in flavour. You can just adjust the sweetness. It works well with bread, toast and chapathi and also tastes good as topping for ice cream, cakes and cookies.

I usually make this when I need a quick chocolate sauce at home. It is easy to prepare and stays good in a jar for few days. My family loves it with hot toast in the morning. I prefer to make it fresh and use it whenever needed.
