NRLW Magic Round: Sydney Roosters 38 def. St George Illawarra Dragons 8

The Sydney Roosters have scored seven tries to earn a 30-point win over the St George Illawarra Dragons.

Jessica Sergis scored a hat-trick for the Chooks in the 38-8 triumph.

The Roosters provisionally move to the top of the NRL ladder, with a perfect record of 5-0 to start the season.

The Brisbane Broncos, also unbeaten, can retake the top position with a win tomorrow over the Canterbury Bulldogs.

HT: Warriors 26 leading Titans 6

That was a clinical performance from the New Zealand Warriors.

The visitors scored five tries in the first half to earn a 26-6 lead.

The Titans struggled to hold onto possession, while six-again restarts hurt them dearly.

37′ TRY: Jacob Laban scores for the Warriors

A very poor error from the Titans has been punished.

Gold Coast second rower Arama Hau flat-out dropped the footy in a play-the-ball on his goal-line.

From the following set, halfback Te Maire Martin threw a dummy, then gave a pop pass to second rower Jacob Laban, who burst through a hole in the defence.

35′ Titans are holding on with half-time approaching

The Gold Coast are just holding on at the moment.

They need half-time.

Warriors fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad charged over the line, but was held up by AJ Brimson.

29′ TRY: Leka Halasima scores for the Warriors

A broken play from the Warriors has resulted in a try.

Attacking the goal-line, halfback Te Maire Martin ran the ball on the final tackle but was caught.

Martin then threw the ball in hope, like it was a basketball.

The Warriors pass twice to the left, and the ball ends up in the hands of lock Erin Clark.

The lock then kicks for the left corner — that was not in the game plan.

Left winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira leaps high and catches the Clark kick, then passes back inside to centre Leka Halasima for the try.

The Titans will be so disappointed by that.

Chanel Harris-Tavita converts the try.

24′ TRY: Arama Hau scores for the Titans

The Titans needed to be the next to score, and they were.

Helped by a penalty that got them into attacking range, Arama Hau charged onto a short pass from Jayden Campbell and burst through a big hole to score.

Jayden Campbell converted the try from 17 metres out, and 15 metres in from the right touchline.

The Wahs are on fire.

Winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira was standing in the centre position and put on a wicked side-step to beat Titan Jojo Fifita.

Khan-Pereira ran 40 metres before passing inside to Chanel Harris-Tavita to score under the posts.

Harris-Tavita converts his own try.

11′ TRY: Alofiana Khan-Pereira scores for the Warriors

This is a hot start from the New Zealand Warriors.

Helped by a six-again restart, the Warriors were again able to march down the field and threaten the Gold Coast goal-line.

On the final play of the set, the Warriors shifted the ball through hands to the left, created the overlap, and former Titan Alofiana Khan-Pereira scored in the corner.

Chanel Harris-Tavita missed the conversion attempt from the left touchline.

7′ TRY: Dallin Watene-Zelezniak scores for the Warriors

The Warriors are the first to score.

Helped by a penalty and a six-again restart, the Warriors were able to attack the goal-line of the Titans.

A nice shift to the right from the Warriors was finished off by winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak in the corner.

Warriors five-eighth Chanel Harris-Tavita was unsuccessful with the conversion attempt from the right touchline, striking the near post.

3′ Keano Kini with a great tackle to deny the Warriors

The Warriors threatened to score first, when winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak intercepted a pass from his goal-line and looked to run the length of the field.

The Warriors’ flyer was chased down by an excellent cover tackle from Titans fullback Keano Kini.

With a retreating defence, the Warriors missed a chance to attack the goal-line with a knock-on from backrower Kurt Capewell.

Readers getting ready for a big day of NRL action

Arvo Michael. Too much footy is never enough mate so joining you for a Titans victory, followed by the Panthers and then finishing off with the Knights. Love watching Jayden Campbell, a chip off the old block, Preston. And if you can organise it, no injuries please.
