About Elaneer Sarbath
Elaneer Sarbath is a popular summer drink commonly found in juice shops across South India and is made with fresh tender coconut water mixed with nannari syrup and lemon juice. It is known for its cooling nature and is often enjoyed during hot weather, nannari syrup gives flavour and aroma to drink and makes it special.
This drink is light, mildly sweet and refreshing without being too heavy. Also tender coconut water adds natural sweetness while lemon juice adds slight tang which balances flavour nicely. Soft tender coconut flesh makes every sip more enjoyable and once mixed and chilled, this drink comes out really refreshing and tastes very good.
You can adjust quantity of nannari syrup base on your taste preference. Some people add more tender coconut flesh for texture and it gives nice bite while drinking. It can also be served without ice if the ingredients are already chill and still taste good. You can try different amount of lemon and see what taste best.
I usually make this during peak summer when tender coconuts are easily available at home. My family like combination of nannari and tender coconut and it feels very refreshing after a hot day outside.Â
