As the 2025/26 Premier League season edges closer to its decisive run-in, the spotlight once again turns to the touchline for the Manager of the Month award for March 2026.
With the title race intensifying, European qualification battles heating up, and relegation pressures mounting, managers across the league have been tasked with delivering consistency, tactical brilliance, and results under immense pressure.
Premier League nominees for manager of the month for March 2026
(1) Mikel Arteta:
Arteta led his team to victories against Chelsea, Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton which ensured that the Gunners were the only team to win all of their Premier League games in March, boosting their chances of lifting a top-flight title for the first time in 22 years.
Eddie Howe (Newcastle)
Newcastle United’s victory against Manchester United ensuredbthey remain the only side to have defeated the Red Devils since Michael Carrick took over at Old Trafford, doing so while playing the entirety of the second half with 10 men. Despite injuries to key players, such as captain Bruno Guimaraes, and an arduous schedule which included knockout competition matches against Man City and Barcelona, Howe’s side also pulled off an impressive win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, before being beaten by a last-minute goal against rivals Sunderland in the Tyne-Wear derby.
(3) Fabian Hurzeler (Brighton)
Fabian led Brighton to victories against Nottingham Forest, Sunderland and Liverpool. These resuts saw Brighton climb from 14th place to 10th in the Premier League table in March, and they are now well placed to make a push for European qualification.
The only side to match the nine points earned by Hurzeler’s side in March were league leaders Arsenal, who inflicted the Seagulls’ only defeat across the month.
Regis Le Bris (Sunderland)
Sunderland opened March with a hard-fought victory against Leeds United at Elland Road and recovered well from a defeat against Brighton to close the month out with a well-earned victory against Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear derby. Despite his side going behind after 10 minutes, Le Bris became just the second Sunderland manager to win each of his first two league games against Newcastle, after Gus Poyet during the 2013/14 season.
David Moyes (Everton)
Victories at home to Burnley and Chelsea in March mean Everton have won successive league matches at Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time; the Toffees’ 3-0 dismantling of Chelsea last time out was their best performance yet at their new home.
