Gigi Lamayne Drops Feel-Good Single “Imnandi Lento.” Award-winning rapper, singer-songwriter, and rising international DJ Gigi Lamayne has officially delivered her highly anticipated single “Imnandi Lento,” a vibrant, floor-filling collaboration that seamlessly fuses the raw lyrical power of South African hip-hop with the infectious grooves of amapiano and the intricate rhythms of 3-step.

Released today via Hart Roc Entertainment under Virgin Music, the track features a powerhouse lineup: chart-dominating amapiano star Pcee, emerging 3-step sensation Ndloh Jnr, and producer VMB (Vugarmbeats), whose rich musicality ties the sonic experiment together. The title, translating roughly to “This Thing is Sweet” or “Beautiful This Thing,” perfectly captures the celebratory, feel-good energy that pulses through every bar and beat.

Gigi Lamayne, known for her sharp pen game and unapologetic storytelling in projects like Doves and Scones (2025), has been teasing a creative expansion. “Imnandi Lento” marks a confident step deeper into dance-oriented territories without abandoning her hip-hop roots.

In a recent interview with TshisaLive, Lamayne described the collaborative magic. “I’ve been in many rooms, but this one had a different kind of magic. There was laughter, there was curiosity, there was respect. We came to shine together.”

Pcee brings his signature hit-making bounce, Ndloh Jnr injects fresh 3-step momentum, and VMB’s production creates layered, textured grooves that feel both futuristic and deeply rooted in South African club culture. The result is an anthem built for winter warm-ups, taxi ranks, house parties, and festival main stages alike.

True to her high-energy rollout, Lamayne and her collaborators shot a vibrant music video in the lead-up to release. Behind-the-scenes footage showed the team, dressed in bold streetwear including pieces from Loxion Kulca, bringing serious swag and dance energy to the set. Dancers lit up the frame as the artists delivered their verses with charisma and chemistry.

“Imnandi Lento” arrives at a time when South African music continues to blur genre lines, creating hybrid sounds that dominate both local airwaves and global playlists. Lamayne’s willingness to evolve while staying authentic positions her as a cultural bridge, a respected hip-hop voice who also commands the DJ booth and now conquers the amapiano and 3-step dancefloor.
