Usimamane Dismisses K1LLBRADY Diss Tracks: “It’s Almost Hitting Someone Who’s Not Fighting Back.” South African hip-hop artist Usimamane has downplayed the ongoing feud involving himself, Jay Katana, K1LLBRADY, and the Qwellers crew, describing the exchange of diss tracks as far less thrilling than fans might have hoped.
In a recent interview with L-Tido, the rapper expressed lukewarm satisfaction with how the situation played out. “Nothing exciting,” he said. “I mean, if they were like rapping, rapping, then I was going to be like, hey. But it’s almost hitting someone who’s not fighting back.”
When L-Tido pressed him on whether his opponents failed to respond, Usimamane remained sceptical. “I don’t think they did, or maybe they tried, but it ain’t feel,” he replied.
L-Tido pushed back, noting that K1LLBRADY had indeed mounted a defence. Usimamane appeared surprised by the claim, acknowledging he had only tuned into a couple of the tracks. “Really? I heard he dropped about four tracks. I didn’t hear the other ones, but I heard the first. Nah, I heard two. Yeah, I heard the first two,” he confirmed. He added that Last Jointy also stepped in with his contribution.
The comments come amid a wave of diss tracks that have kept local hip-hop circles buzzing. While some fans viewed the back-and-forth as a spirited clash highlighting different styles and loyalties in the scene, Usimamane suggested the energy felt uneven, with his side dominating the narrative and impact.
